How we approach each engagement
Every Linspire engagement begins with a conversation to understand the organisation's situation before we propose a service. If the service isn't a clear fit, we'll say so. If it is, we'll agree on a timeline and expected output before we start.
Within each service, we build on the actual work — your roles, your managers, your leadership team — rather than importing generic content. For the hiring guide, we ask about your specific positions and what good answers actually look like in your context. For the coaching group, we let the real situations your managers bring drive the agenda. For the rhythm design, we interview team leads first to understand what's working and what isn't before proposing anything.
Each engagement ends with a written deliverable. We don't consider the work complete until the documentation is in your hands and you've had an opportunity to ask questions about it.
Initial conversation
Understand the situation, assess fit, agree on scope
Preparation
Research, interviews, or framework building — adapted to the service
Delivery
Workshops, sessions, or working meetings with your team
Written deliverable
Documentation reviewed and sent; questions answered
Hiring Conversation Guide
A short engagement that helps small businesses run more consistent interview conversations. The output is a printed and digital guide tailored to your specific roles — built around a question framework and a calibration sheet that your interviewers can use together from the same starting point.
We include a half-day workshop with everyone who currently runs interviews, which is where the guide gets road-tested and adjusted before it becomes the working document your team will use going forward.
What's included
- Role-specific interview question framework
- Candidate answer calibration sheet
- Half-day workshop with your interview team
- Printed guide — one copy per interviewer
- Digital working copy (editable)
Process
Briefing call — we learn about your roles and your current interview approach
Draft framework prepared and sent for review
Half-day workshop delivered with your interviewers
Final printed and digital guide delivered
Good fit for your organisation if…
- Different people run interviews with no shared framework
- Interview quality varies significantly across your team
- You've made hiring decisions you later doubted
- You're growing and will be hiring more frequently
Good fit for your organisation if…
- Your managers handle people challenges largely on their own
- You have four to six mid-level managers ready to participate
- Your managers are dealing with real, current people-management questions
- You want to build capability over time, not in a single workshop
Manager Peer Coaching Group
A facilitated group for four to six mid-level managers from the same company, meeting fortnightly over twelve weeks. Sessions are structured around real people-management questions that participants bring — a tough conversation coming up, a team change to think through, a project handover that needs reviewing.
This is not a training course. The facilitator doesn't deliver content — they create conditions for the group to think through its actual situations together. Each participant leaves with a written closing summary that reflects the questions they worked on.
What's included
- Six fortnightly facilitated sessions (90 minutes each)
- Group capped at four to six managers
- Agenda based on real situations participants bring
- Written closing summary for each participant
Process
Briefing with the senior lead — purpose, participant selection, ground rules
Six fortnightly sessions over twelve weeks
Written closing summary for each participant at the end of the cycle
Operating Rhythm Design
A senior consulting engagement for leadership teams that want to design a steady operating rhythm — the schedule of staff meetings, planning reviews, retrospectives, and one-to-ones that holds a company together week to week. The engagement begins with interviews, and ends with a written rhythm map and a follow-up note.
The rhythm map documents what meetings will happen, how often, who attends, what their purpose is, and how they connect to each other. It is a working document, not a report — something the leadership team can use, revise, and refer back to.
What's included
- Interviews with team leads (30–45 minutes each)
- Written rhythm map of all recurring meetings and reviews
- Working session with the leadership team
- Written follow-up note with any outstanding adjustments
Process
Scoping call with senior leadership — current state and goals
Interviews with team leads
Draft rhythm map shared and discussed
Working session with the leadership team
Final rhythm map and follow-up note delivered
Good fit for your organisation if…
- Your leadership team has grown or changed recently
- Meetings feel reactive rather than planned
- Important conversations keep being deferred or skipped
- You're expanding into new locations or functions
